THE OWN WAY | PERSPECTIVES OF BELGIAN ART

March 14 to June 8, 2008
MKM Museum Küppersmühle for Modern Art

Under the motto “Your own path. Perspectives on Belgian Art”, the MKM has invited 16 artists to present their work in the museum rooms and provide an insight into Belgium’s lively and diverse art scene. From March 14 to June 8, 2008, some of the most important Belgian artists will be presented, as well as a cross-section of the various generations, from Panamarenko to Matthieu Ronsse.

The spectrum ranges from painting, installation, object and sculpture to video. On display are works by Thomas Bogaert, Berlinde De Bruyckere, David Claerbout, Wim Delvoye, Stefaan Dheedene, Jan Fabre, Michel François, Ann Veronica Janssens, Kris Martin, Hans Op de Beeck, Panamarenko, Matthieu Ronsse, Luc Tuymans, Hans Vandekerckhove, Koen Vanmechelen and Andy Wauman. Pioneering and established, internationally renowned positions thus stand alongside up-and-coming artists and young positions yet to be discovered.
