The Essen-based chemical company Evonik has been the patron of the prize since 2014. Once again this year, many hundreds of schools across Germany applied for the chance to take part in Germany&#8217;s most highly endowed youth art prize.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once again, 20 school classes have been selected by lot to submit their competition entries, i.e. their responses to contemporary art at the MKM, for evaluation by the jury. All 20 participating classes and thus more than 450 pupils and their teachers will be present at the opening ceremony and eagerly await the announcement of the prize winners. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, before Markus Langer, Head of Corporate Marketing and PR at Evonik Industries AG, reveals the secret of the three best competition entries and awards the Evonik Youth Art Prize 2014, MKM Director Walter Smerling introduces the project and the participants in a short panel discussion.
