For the ninth time, the K\u00fcppersm\u00fchle Museum will host the most highly endowed national youth art prize for the “Jugend interpretiert Kunst” competition. 20 schools from all over Germany had the opportunity to spend an individual day visiting the K\u00fcppersm\u00fchle Museum and to engage intensively with modern art outside of the classroom. Under the guidance of art educators, the young people were able to experience the artworks of Baselitz, Kiefer, Richter and others in detail in the original, ask questions, discuss, analyze and finally create their own works.
\nThese works by the pupils have now been evaluated by the jury, which includes the artists Abraham David Christian and Markus L\u00fcpertz, advertising agency boss Coordt von Mannstein, MKM Director Walter Smerling and the collector Sylvia Str\u00f6her. After detailed consideration and lively discussion, the decision was unanimous. The jury was particularly pleased with the consistently high standard and great commitment of all the works submitted.
