With the special exhibition Movement in Space, the MKM is honoring Norbert Kricke as an artist personality who provided groundbreaking impulses for art after 1945. He would have been 100 years old this year. Kricke’s works have lost none of their dynamism to this day. Around 40 sculptures by the former rector of the Düsseldorf Art Academy from three decades are on display in the skylight room of the new MKM building. Special emphasis is placed on his late work from 1975-1984, as well as numerous graphic works up to his last drawings, the unique “Schlussstrichen”.
