December 15, 2010 to January 16, 2011
at the MKM Museum Küppersmühle for Modern Art, Duisburg
We are celebrating our anniversary! The “Jugend interpretiert Kunst” project, which was initiated by the Stiftung für Kunst und Kultur e.V. Bonn in 2000, is entering its tenth round. On December 14, Germany’s most creative pupils will once again be awarded the Deutsche Bank Foundation Youth Art Prize at the MKM Museum Küppersmühle. Another reason to celebrate: “Jugend interpretiert Kunst” will be continued and the most highly endowed national art prize for schools will continue to be awarded at the MKM.
This year, 20 schools from all over Germany will once again present their own museum show and compete with the greats of modern art. They have not only become acquainted with, scrutinized and discussed the works of Baselitz, Kiefer, Richter & Co. but have also interpreted them with their own works. The exciting results of the tenth edition of “Jugend interpretiert Kunst” can be seen in the temporary exhibition area of the MKM until January 16, 2011.
