June 15 – September 1, 2002
Cooperation project with the Düsseldorf Art Academy
MKM Museum Küppersmühle for Modern Art
As part of the AKADEMOS exhibition series, the MKM Museum Küppersmühle dedicated a solo exhibition to the renowned sculptor Hubert Kiecol under the title Glückliche Maße. The presentation focused on key works by the artist, who has been one of the most influential voices in German sculpture since the 1980s.
Kiecol’s sculptural work moves between architecture, minimalism and poetic reduction. His works, often made of concrete, steel or wood, reflect the relationship between body, space and dimension – always imbued with a quiet but insistent presence.
The exhibition was part of the AKADEMOS series, in which the MKM focused on artists with a connection to academic teaching or the promotion of young artists.
