at the MKM Museum Küppersmühle for Modern Art, Duisburg

Light and color, form and space are the themes of Ulrich Erben, who is one of the most important German representatives of color field painting. In close collaboration with the artist, the MKM is showing the largest exhibition of his work in North Rhine-Westphalia to date and one of the most comprehensive exhibitions ever, with works from the 1960s to the present day. Around 100 paintings, works on paper and a light object room are on display. Especially for the exhibition, Erben has also created two monumental paintings directly on the exhibition walls, which can only be seen as works of limited duration for the duration of the exhibition.
