MKM MOVIE TIME – guided tour and film evening
Collieries, soccer, nature and culture and, of course, the people of the Ruhr region – just like Till Brönner’s latest photographs, Sönke Wortmann’s film “Sommerfest” (2017) paints a panorama of the Ruhr metropolis, with a lot of emotion and great sympathy for the region and its inhabitants. Before the film screening, curator Eva Müller-Remmert offers insights into the current exhibition and shows places and people that can be found in both media – from the snack bar and industrial monuments to the portraits of director Sönke Wortmann and Frank Goosen, author of the novel of the same name that accompanies the film.
