Absolute color: Starting today, the MKM is showing the exhibition “Katharina Grosse x Gotthard Graubner”. From the perspective of the internationally acclaimed painter Katharina Grosse (born 1961), we look at the legendary color space bodies of Gotthard Graubner (1930-2013) and vice versa. The exhibition draws attention to two profoundly different painterly concepts that meet in their conviction of the timeless, physically tangible, existential power of color.

Around 55 expansive works are on display, including a 17-metre-long cloth work by Katharina Grosse and Graubner’s space-filling “Assisi Cycle”. The exhibition runs until January 26, 2020.
