IT’S MKM POETRY TIME!
Poetry workshop with author and prose poet Bastian Schneider
Bastian Schneider is a guest at the MKM for the first time – as is his poetry workshop for young people and adults. It begins with a joint tour of the current exhibition “Farbe absolut. Katharina Grosse x Gotthard Graubner”. The works of both artists have one thing in common: the existential power of color. In the workshop, this serves as inspiration for creative writing tasks. Participants with and without writing experience are welcome! The only requirement is that you enjoy writing.

Bastian Schneider, born in Siegen in 1981, studied literature and language arts in Marburg, Paris and Vienna. He has received a number of prizes and awards for his work, including the Dresden Poetry Prize, the North Rhine-Westphalia State Prize and a working grant from the Kunststiftung NRW. He lives in Cologne and Vienna.

Artist Talk at MKM: Katharina Grosse, internationally acclaimed for her paintings, meets Johann König, the “pop star among gallery owners” (FAZ). Together with Eva Schmidt, curator of the current temporary exhibition, two influential players in the art world share their inside view of art and artists, the exhibition at the MKM and Katharina Grosse’s painting as a form of thought, an unknown place and a plea for changeability. Moderator: Jörg Mascherrek.
