Art meets…3Sat Museumscheck – behind the scenes
“The museum as a sensual place of experience” – This is how the format “Museumscheck” of the channel 3Sat describes itself. The format conveys art by visiting fascinating museums in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and opening them up dialogically.
But what does a day of filming at Museumscheck actually look like? How much lead time is needed in advance and which works should be discussed at all? Our guests Martina Klug and Markus Brock talk about their everyday life in front of and behind the camera and report on what is important in the digital mediation of art.

MKM meets Duisburger Philharmoniker
Nils Szczepanski, artistic director of the Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra, and MKM director Walter Smerling present their plans for the new cooperation: in future, the bright exhibition rooms of the Küppersmühle Museum will be regularly filled with the sounds of the Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra – music responding to art. Already in this season, two concerts with different instrumentation will take place that musically address the themes of art.

Every Saturday you have the opportunity to take part in a themed tour of the Ströher Collection on selected topics. The indicated price includes participation in the guided tour and admission to the entire house. The group size is limited to a maximum of 20 people.
